Didn't get 5 stars because I don't think this book is particularly life changing or is going to stick with me particularly long or in a very very strong way. Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. I tend to read Christmas stories as Christmas approaches, and I'm less selective at the time.
